Location
The villa is ideally situated for its proximity to the surrounding area and ease of access. It’s just 15 minutes from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, 25 minutes from the Nice-Ville train station, and even closer to the Antibes train station. You’ll find some of the area’s most charming villages, like Saint-Paul-de-Vence and Vence, just a short drive away. The stunning coastline of the Côte d’Azur is also nearby, with beautiful beaches around Cagnes-sur-Mer, Villeneuve-Loubet, Antibes, and beyond. Nice and Cannes, both magical destinations, are within easy reach, as are idyllic inland villages like Biot, Opio, and Grasse. Aix-en-Provence is a mere two hours away by car.
The villa serves as a great base for exploring the region. You can easily drive or take the train to Provence or Italy, and ferries to Corsica depart from the Port of Nice. The villa is also conveniently located near golf courses, ski areas, and hiking trails. For a day on the sea or a visit to a nearby island, boats can be hired out of Nice or Cannes. The villa is close to the Cannes Film Festival and the Monte Carlo Grand Prix, making it an ideal choice for special events. It’s also well-suited for yoga retreats or private tennis lessons. We highly recommend renting a car to fully enjoy the area, though Uber service is available to and from the villa, and taxis or drivers can be arranged.
The house benefits from a sub-tropical microclimate, with warm, dry, and sunny summers and mild winters featuring moderate rainfall. In short, Villa Espinets is the perfect oasis from which to explore the Côte d’Azur’s world-class beaches, classic hilltop villages, endless activities, and extraordinary views.
About Us
We are a Seattle family with deep ties to France and a profound love for the country. Kevin holds dual citizenship in both the U.S. and France. Our journey to the Côte d’Azur began many years ago, starting with our honeymoon in Menton in 1986. We have a special fondness for this region—the vibrant city of Nice, stunning coastline and beaches, charming surrounding villages, fresh seafood, fine wine, pleasant climate, delightful shops, bustling markets, and the wonderful people we’ve met along the way.
Owning a house here has always been a dream of ours, and we now have the privilege of being the third owners of Le Haut des Espinets, sharing this unique home with friends, family, and guests.
We’ve outfitted the house with everything we look for in a vacation rental: a large outdoor seating area where everyone can gather, a well-equipped kitchen (with nice knives!), beautifully appointed bedrooms featuring luxury linens and soft pillows, a spacious pool, and reliable Wi-Fi. The villa also offers easy access to the beach, excellent shops, and delightful restaurants—all complemented by breathtaking views. As this is our only rental property, we take great pride in our attention to detail, ensuring it becomes your dream vacation spot.
