The concept
We want our guests to fall in love with the place and we want them to appreciate our concept that much, that they become addicted to Villa and their holidays in Vence. This way is much better and more pleasant for us as well. - And upon departure it is much easier to say the words ”see you in ....” - instead of ”good bye”.
We have successfully being running the Guest House in Saint Paul de Vence with the same objective since 2002 and this has been the background for the expansion of our offerings. Today we run both places – still just for fun – and we have created our own standard to cosset and service our guests - and that might addict you a little bit !
You will be more ”self-catered” in the villa compared to our Guest House, but the spirit from Le Haut des Espinets has moved in and our service concept will support that we anyway will see each other now and then during your stay.
First time might be in the airport, if you have ordered VIP Service, which in itself is a concept, including local airport transportation and a car at the villa during your stay. When you arrive at the villa you will be met by fresh flowers, fruit on the table and some chilly wine in the wine-fridge at the bar. Based on your order we have also filled the fridge with your favorite bottles prior to your arrival and the same goes for beer, water, firewood, gas for the outdoor heaters, charcoal and the other items you might have crossed on the checklist.
In the double rooms we have prepared the pillows filled with goose down for you. They are covered with sun dried and fresh mangled linen made of Indian cotton, which is very appreciated by many guests. In this modern industrialized and automated world, it is relatively unique to find such beds – even on very fine hotels.
All bathrooms are of course equipped with towels, bath-ropes and all the other items you, as a comparison, would expect at a five start hotel.
Cleaning, hereunder change of linen, takes place two times per week. Upon wish we can arrange room maid every day.
Around three times per week we prepare menus at Le Haut des Espinets in the evening, where you are welcome, provided we have space enough. If you participate, we will be happy to pick you up at the villa and order a taxi for you when you go back. – If you stay six people or more at the villa, we will be happy to prepare and serve a dinner for you “at home” during the week.
The villa has its own petanque court, but we did not find space enough for a tennis court. If you want to play tennis, you are welcome to use the tennis court at Le Haut des Espinets.
If you like to go out for dining, we will be happy to assist you with recommendations and table reservation. The nearest restaurant with a recognized kitchen is placed in five minutes walking distance.

Discover the Villa
You dream about a luxurious villa on the Cote d’Azur – but you do not want the trouble with maintenance, French bureaucracy and all the other trivialities. You want to rent and enjoy services – eventually own a small piece of the property.

The property in general
The villa hides above a grove of olive trees, surrounding the small private driveway up to the villa.
When you move up this steep road, you already sense the unbelievable panoramic view you are approaching. You can enjoy the sun and the fantastic view from terraces on several levels
The property offers around 320 square meters under various levels, thereof around 240 square meters for living.
Enter into the hall of the villa.
Already before you step through the main door you will discover, that no compromises have been made in the choice of material. The shining stones from ”La Sine” on the floor and up the stairways are witnesses of true quality. ”La Sine” is a local area having a stone quarry 5 kilometers from the villa. This stone decorates all floors in the villa except kitchen and bathrooms.
Ulrik Witt’s art on the walls and the Italian glasswork lamps will probably be noticed before you actually enter into the hall of the house. And from here you get your first impression of the impressive living room.
Living room
The living room has been designed and decorated modern and simplistic. Sitting in one of the comfortable Savannah sofas from Cane-Line, you can enjoy the fireplace, look at the big B&O floor TV or ...
.... you can enjoy the view over Vence city and the sea in the background.
The Kitchen
Italian design dominates the kitchen and the bar, being two steps higher – physically and figuratively speaking – and linked perfectly to the living room, as well as the integrated dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with semi-professional tools, since the villa will also be used in connection with our gourmet-courses. Whilst you work in the kitchen you can keep the overview and follow the activities in the living room ...
... and from the bar, a.o. equipped with a wine-fridge, it is appropriate to follow the creation of culinary delicacies
In the evening you can enjoy the fireplace and the cosy lighting in the living room or you make yourself comfortable on the terrace just outside the living room.
Covered terrace
Just outside the sliding door in the kitchen you will do the barbeque and enjoy your meals most of the year on the covered terrace.
And next morning you might have your breakfast on the lower terrace where you can enjoy the morning-sun very early.
On the level over the covered terrace you find a petanque court – probably with the best court-view available in Southern France
Open Terraces
The main terrace becomes more or less united with the living room when the big sliding doors are pushed all the way into the wall ...
... and should the sun during day time become too strong in the soft sofa on the terrace, you push a button and the sailcloth on the timber will be rolled out automatically.

And of course the fantastic evening view on the terrace where you can watch the light from planes landing in Nice Airport
Pool
On the terrace a few steps down, the pool invites you for a swim. The saltwater, which is cleaned electronically without using chlor, is heated from the beginning of April and until end October. An electric engine can start your personal swim trainer in the pool to keep you fit.
On this terrace you also find a shower unit and additional sun-beds for relaxation.
Bedrooms
Five double rooms, all with their own bathroom, makes the villa appropriate for up to 10 persons. All bedrooms are equipped with air-condition and all of the rooms do also enjoy the breathtaking view of Vence, the coastline and the sea.
The bathroom in the Master Bedroom is, amongst other, equipped with a douche, whirlpool bath and bidet. All other bathrooms have the same look and feel, however apart from whirlpool.
From the upstairs bedroom with the balcony you can follow life on the terrace
All rooms are equipped with wardrobes; one of them has a small balcony and another room has a roof-terrace with sun chairs. And remember – all rooms enjoy the fantastic view!
